EBB Intelligence · For manufacturers

Know who makes it. Know who buys it.

Trade intelligence, both directions.

EU Import records US Customs records CN Mandarin interface

We read customs and shipment records, the public filings that already show, container by container, who ships what to whom.

Read one way it finds your buyers. Read the other it finds your factories.

A manufacturer sees which Western companies import their product. An importer sees which factories actually make it, who they already supply, and what the category looks like.

And the records are only half of it. We carry our own network of manufacturers built up over years in the industry, plants we have visited and bought from. Where your category is one of them, the report starts from people we already know.

In plain words

EBB Intelligence is research built on customs records. Those filings say who shipped what to whom. Read one way they show a manufacturer which Western companies already import their product. Read the other they show an importer which factories actually make it, who they supply, and what the category costs.

On top of the filings we have our own network of manufacturers, built over years of working on both sides of this trade. Public records tell you who ships what. The network tells you who is worth calling.

Your first category report is free, in either direction. Send your HS code, a photo of the product, or just the name of the category, and we build it within one working day.

Two directions

The same records, read both ways.

Every container that crosses a border leaves a record: who shipped it, who received it, what was in it. Which side of that record you care about depends on which side of the trade you are on.

If you make things

Find the companies already buying what you make.

For manufacturers in China, Vietnam or India selling into Europe and the United States.

  • Every importer in your category, ranked by how well they fit
  • Volume, direction of travel, and who supplies them today
  • Named contacts, and a first email written in their language
  • Buyers who are re-sourcing right now score above settled ones

If you buy things

Find out who actually makes it, and what the category costs.

For European and American importers sourcing from Asia.

  • Which factories make your product, not which companies resell it
  • Who your competitors buy from, and in what volume
  • Price bands, capacity, certifications and export history
  • Where a category is growing, and where it is being abandoned
01 / Sample Report

Every importer in your
category, ranked.
Every score has a reason.

This is what a report looks like. One row for each company that already imports your product, sorted by how well they fit what you make. You see how much they buy, whether they are growing, and why we scored them that way.

Category · Silicone kitchenware · HS 3924.10
Window: last 12 months · EU + US entries
Importer Market Volume (12m) Trend Fit Why this score
Harbour & Vale LtdHousewares · Private label UK / EU 412 TEU ▲ +34% 94 Strong Growing fast, buys the exact HS line you export, and currently splits volume across three suppliers, so a fourth is realistic.
Meridian Home GroupRetail · Own brand USA 388 TEU ▲ +12% 89 Strong Shifted 40% of volume away from its main supplier in the last two quarters. Actively re-sourcing.
Nordkap Handels GmbHDistributor · DACH DE / AT 265 TEU = stable 76 Good Steady buyer with one entrenched supplier. Worth approaching on a second line rather than a replacement.
Cedarline Imports Inc.Wholesale · Foodservice USA 198 TEU ▲ +58% 72 Good Fastest-growing in the set, but buys a heavier-gauge variant. Fit depends on whether you can meet their spec.
Atlas Menage SASRetail · France FR 140 TEU ▼ −19% 41 Weak Declining volume and a long-standing exclusive agreement. Low probability, listed for completeness.

02 / The Problem

Three bad options.
All of them old.

Every factory trying to sell to the West is offered the same three routes. All three were built before customs records could be searched, and all three end with someone else owning your customer.

Option one

Stand at a trade fair

Four days, a stand, flights, and a pile of business cards from people who may not even buy what you make. You cannot tell a real buyer from a browser until months later.

High cost · No targeting · No follow-through
Option two

Bid on a marketplace

You are one listing in ten thousand, competing on price with factories making a worse version of your product. The platform owns the buyer and charges you to be seen.

Race to the bottom · Rented demand
Option three

Sell through a trading company

They found the buyer, so they keep the buyer. You never learn who sells your product, at what price, or in which country. So you can never go direct, and they decide your margin.

No visibility · No leverage · No exit
High-bay warehouse racking stacked with cartons of imported goods ready for distribution
Already happening

Somebody is already importing your product into Europe and America this month. The paperwork says exactly who they are. Most factories never read it.

03 / The Product

Three modules.
Find them, rank them,
reach them.

The data is the easy part. The hard part is turning a list of shipments into a named person you can email this week, in a language they will answer. The same records work the other way too, which is how we find the factory behind a product.

I.

Discover

Enter your HS code or upload a photo of your product. You see every company that imported it into the EU or the USA in the last twelve months, how much they bought, and who supplies them now.

  • Coverage. European import records and US customs entries, refreshed monthly.
  • Depth. Volume by quarter, lane, port, and named supplier, not just a company list.
  • Competitors. See which factories are already shipping to each buyer, and how much.
II.

Score

Each buyer is scored against what you actually make: your capacity, your certificates, your price range. Every score comes with the reason for it, so you can disagree with it.

  • Fit. Product match, order size, and whether your plant can serve their volume.
  • Timing. Buyers who are re-sourcing right now score above buyers who are settled.
  • Reason. One sentence per company explaining the score. No black box.
III.

Reach

You get the buyer's name and verified work email, plus a first message written the way European and American buyers expect. Nothing is sent until you approve it.

  • Contacts. Sourcing and category managers, with role and verified work address.
  • Drafts. Written in English, reviewed in Mandarin. No English sales team needed.
  • Follow-up. Sequenced, tracked, and paused the moment somebody replies.

One category.
On the house.

Send us your HS code and the market you want: Europe, the USA, or both. We build the full report for that one category and send it to you free, whether or not you ever buy anything.

Step 01

Drop a photo, a catalogue page or a PDF of your product below.

Step 02

We read the customs records for it and write the briefing.

Step 03

It reaches you within one working day, read by a person before it leaves.

Which market
Which side are you on

Free, and no call needed. We only use what you send to write this briefing. See the privacy policy.

What lands in your inbox
  1. Who moves this product. The companies shipping it into your market, ranked by how much they bring in.
  2. Which of them are real factories. Separated from trading companies and forwarders.
  3. Where it goes. The channels it sells through, and who the repeat buyers are.
  4. What it lands at. Declared values, duty rate and the delivered cost we would expect.
  5. The one thing we would do first. Written for your side of the table, not a generic report.
Three bundles

Reports, research, and the people behind them.

Each one is a piece of research delivered as a document you can act on. Tell us the category and the market and we will say which of the three fits, and what it costs.

Before you commit

Send us what you already have.

Most of what goes wrong in an import is visible on paper before anything ships. A quote missing three lines, a specification that lets the factory choose, a certificate that proves less than it looks like it proves. Send the document and we read it properly.

Every review is read by a person before it reaches you, which is why it takes up to a working day. Where the records are thin, the review says so instead of filling the gap with something that sounds right.

Bundle 01

Market research

Entering a new market

Everything you need to know about a market before you commit to it. Written for manufacturers looking at Europe or the United States, and for anyone launching a product somewhere new.

  • Market size, who already sells there, and at what price
  • How the category is distributed, and who controls the channel
  • Regulations, certification and labelling your product will need
  • Product testing arranged and results explained
  • Dealers, distributors and importers worth approaching, with contacts

Bundle 02

Manufacturing landscape

For Western companies

What can actually be made, where, and at what scale. For European and American companies working out whether a product is worth sourcing in Asia at all, and what it would really cost.

  • Who produces your product, in which countries and at what volume
  • What a factory can and cannot do to your specification
  • Realistic price bands, minimum orders and lead times
  • Which competitors already buy there, and from whom
  • Where a category is growing, and where it is being abandoned
Ask about this
Bundle 03

Supplier vetting

For Western companies

Finding a factory is easy. Finding one that is real, solvent and still exporting is the work. We shortlist manufacturers and check each one properly before you send anyone money.

  • A shortlist matched to your product and your order size
  • Business licence, production scope and registered address checked
  • Export history read from shipment records, not from their brochure
  • Certifications and audits verified, not taken on trust
  • A visit or a live walk through the plant where it matters
Ask about this

Priced per category and market, because a niche with twenty real players and one with two thousand are not the same job. Tell us what you need and we will give you the figure before anything is signed. If the research turns into an order, the fee comes off it. Need people rather than a document? That is Bridge.

05 / Questions

What people ask
before the free report.

From customs and shipment records. When goods enter the United States, an entry is filed and much of it becomes public record. European import data varies by country but a great deal of it is available. We collect it, clean it, and match it to your product.

Yes. These are published trade records, not private information. Several companies license and resell the same data. You are reading statistics that already exist.

Reports are built on the last twelve months of entries, and Signal refreshes monthly as new filings appear. You see movement, not just a snapshot.

Only if you want that. The Signal plan drafts the first message and sequences the follow-up, but nothing is sent until you approve it. On the Bridge plan our team runs the outreach and the calls for you.

Then the report is short and we will tell you before you pay. Some niches have twenty real importers, not two hundred. Twenty named buyers with verified contacts is still worth more than a trade fair.

No. The interface and support are available in Mandarin, and outreach is drafted in English and reviewed with you. That is the point of the product.
